The 2006/2007 GENERAL HENRY H. ARNOLD EDUCATION GRANT has been increased to $2,000. Eligible applicants have a better than one in two chance of receiving one of these grants, but you can't compete if you don't apply. Click here to access application and information. Applications must be received by AFAS by 10 March 2006.
The National Military Family Association is now accepting applications for the NMFA Joanne Holbrook Patton Military Spouse Scholarship Program. Uniformed service spouses-active, retired, National Guard, Reserve or survivor-studying toward professional certification or attending post-secondary or graduate school are encouraged to apply. Scholarships are normally in the amount of $1000, and the number awarded annually varies depending on funding. Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, fees, books, and school room and board. Applications will only be accepted online, and must be submitted by midnight, 15 April 2006. Applications can be found at .
OSC Scholarship - The applications are available at the Base Library, the E Club, Thrift Shop, Base Education and Family Support Center. It is also available on our website at www.mcguireosc.org All completed packets must be postmarked by 18 March, 2006. All scholarships benefit the family members of our men and women here at McGuire AFB.
The YMCA of Burlington County in Mt. Laurel, NJ has grant money available for spouses of deployed military personnel of all branches (Active Duty, Reserve and National Guard). “BECAUSE I LOVE YOU” (B.I.L.Y.): is a leading self-help program designed to help parents/caregivers overcome the all too common destructive teenage behaviors from drug abuse, stealing, and violence to dangerous activity and school failure. BIG BROTHER/BIG SISTER: Have you ever thought of being a Big Brother or a Big Sister? Now is your chance to make a difference in the life of a young person!! Big Brothers Big Sisters of Burlington County is looking for individuals to volunteer with youth ages 5-18. Mentors become a positive role model in the young person’s life.
